PKL Designs is a one-woman fiberart entity, specializing in contemporary fiber art and silk painted creations, hand embroidered, beaded and embellished. Experimentation with various fiber techniques and using them in sometimes unconventional ways is a primary goal.
Distinctive silk painted wall pieces reflect the Caribbean heritage and love of color. Always searching for a new idea, and painting with a ‘what if’ attitude, counting missteps as ‘design elements’ that are sometimes more beautiful and interesting than the original concept. Work tends to take on a life of its own, and ideas are followed where they lead.
Large silk painted banners, up to nine feet long, with abstract or representational subjects are favorites, and custom commissions are always welcome.
To nurture the ‘fashionista’ persona, custom silk painted jackets and vests to order are available.
