Phillippa Lack of PKL Designs specializes in contemporary fiber art and silk painted creations, hand embroidered, beaded and embellished. Phil enjoys experimenting with various fiber techniques and using them in sometimes unconventional ways.

Distinctive silk painted wall pieces and art quilts reflect her Caribbean heritage and love of color. She is always searching for a new idea, and paints with a ‘what if’ attitude, counting her missteps as ‘design elements’ that are sometimes more beautiful and interesting than the original concept. Her work tends to take on a life of its own, and she follows these ideas where they lead.

Phil also likes to do large silk painted banners, up to nine feet long, with abstract or representational subjects, and enjoys doing custom commissions.

To nurture her ‘fashionista’ persona, she designs custom silk painted jackets and vests to order.
